The Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale countdown is on! After shopping many Lilly Pulitzer sales in the past I find the best approach is to make a wishlist. This helps tame the craziness as well as gives you a clear strategy to shop when it’s your turn in line!
Over the years I’ve been able to collect many dresses and rompers which are definitely some of Lilly Pulitzer’s signature pieces. During the last sale, I really focused on some non-traditional Lilly items and I think they might be some of my most worn pieces in my whole wardrobe (not just my Lilly collection).
I wanted to share what’s on my wishlist this year to give you a better idea of what I’m shopping for, along with some of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Sale items I’ve snagged in the past.
What’s On My Wishlist for the Lilly Pulitzer Sunshine Sale
Cardigans are at the top of my list because as we move into fall these are great transitional pieces that can be worn over dresses, tanks, tops, and work great in the office. They can also really be worn all year round, so for me, they have a great cost per wear and can be a staple in any closet!
Because they are a “wear now” piece they tend to sell out really quickly so as soon as I get into the sale this is the category I head to first! There are few different styles but the Tatum is my favorite which features a long line cardigan with fringe/tassel detail all around the hem.
Here’s a look at some cardigans I got during the sale and how I style them!
This Tatum is actually a new arrival but I wanted to show you another way to style them!
Florins are a style I LOVE because they are reversible so it’s a great bang for your buck essentially giving two tops in one! These are great basics because one side is solid and one is printed so it gives you a lot of versatility. I find I like to wear the solid side to the office and the print side out for fun! They look great on their own or layered under cardigans and blazers.
I am hoping to snag a few more Florins this sale to add my closet! They run true to size but if you are flat-chested I would recommend sizing down because the V can be a little low and the straps aren’t adjustable.
Here’s the two I have with both sides to give you a better idea of what it looks like reversed!
Lilly Pulitzer is definitely known for their prints, but Lilly has some BEAUTIFUL solid dresses as well. These are just good-quality dresses that can be worn for so many occasions and for years to come.
Because I have quite a few (ok, more than a few) printed dresses I’m hoping to snag some more solid dresses because they always make me feel so confident.
This is also a great time to buy solid white dresses for brides because there are typically quite a few options since it’s after Labor Day!
Last on my list is to hopefully snag another Jane dress. I only have one in my collection and I reach for it all the time! It has the typically Lilly Pulitzer shift dress look with the embroidery detail but it’s an A-line so it’s very easy to wear and super comfortable. It’s not lined either but in a thicker breathable material so it’s not super hot or sticky to wear.
They are actually forgiving in sizing. I am wearing a size 4 here because it’s a few years old and it still fits great. If you are curvy or a pear shape these styles can be really flattering and forgiving!
My collection has definitely changed over the years so if you are brand new to shopping Lilly Pulitzer I recommend checking out this blog post to see the 7 items I recommend stocking up on if you’re new!
I am so excited for Monday to start shopping!
