If you are like me you got a pair of duck boots for Christmas. The shoes come pre-tied with the “Eastland Knot” but I wanted a little more support on my ankles. The first thing I did was untie the laces because I wanted the ankles to be tighter. My sister (who also got a pair of boots) freaked out and was like “what if you don’t get them to look like that?” I just told her “I’ll figure it out!” …and I did!
Below is a step by step process of how to tie duck boots or the “Eastland Knot”.
How To Tie Duck Boots
Step 1: Make a loop – this can be a little harder than it looks. It needs to be longer than you think in order to complete step two.
Step 2: Wrap the lace around the loop – keep wrapping until you get to the end of the loop.
Step 3: Thread the end of the lace through the small end of the loop and pull tight.
Voila, now you know! Don’t worry if it takes you a couple of times! I know I didn’t get it on my first try.
