If y’all remember, back in January I really wanted to be more intentional about having and maintaining a healthy lifestyle well then COVID happened. I’ve definitely go through phases during the last six months of staying active. Jared and I were avid walkers for a while but then he returned to his normal work schedule and things got a little more difficult so I thought I would share how I am staying active during COVID right now.
How I Am Staying Active During COVID
We have been on the hunt for bikes for WEEKS! It’s so strange the things you can’t find during COVID Lysol wipes, toilet paper, bikes, the list goes on! We finally found a bike for each of us on Facebook marketplace! They were a great price and we’ve been loving riding bikes together.
It’s a nice change of pace and it allows us to see a lot more of our community and also get a great work out in. We went on a 6-mile bike ride last weekend and absolutely loved it! Sundays are very quickly turning into our biking days.
We are also SO grateful to live in an area with a large biking community, our town is very bike-friendly with bike lanes and an amazing trail system. The Northwest Arkansas Razorback Regional Greenway is a 36 miles, primarily off-road, paved trail that travels on a north-south axis through Northwest Arkansas. So we can hop on the trail outside our front door or take our bikes to a different part of the trail for a change of scenery.
As much as I’d like to say I look super cute ride my bike like I do in this Instagram realistically I am in workout gear especially for the long rides. This adidas tank and adidas sneakers are perfect to stay cool for bike rides in this summer heat.
I have been loving this tank because it’s bright and alerts people and drivers around me that I am coming – safety is key! Plus it’s just super cute!
And these are SO comfortable, they have zero to no break-in time and are super cushiony which it makes them great to transition when we decide to take a break from biking and take Beau on a walk.
I am still going to my Diva Dance classes but with limited capacity, I haven’t been attending as much as I was pre-COVID, so biking has been a great way to stay active during COVID and keep my endurance up for my dance classes.
