Each year my girlfriends and I all take an annual weekend girls trip. We all met in college and since graduating we’ve parted ways and live in different cities, so this weekend is a chance for us to get together, catch up, reminisce and make new memories.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Dallas for this year’s trip. Since I live in Arkansas, then the other girls are split between Austin, Lubbock, and Abilene, Dallas was the perfect meeting point.
The Fairmont Dallas is located in the heart of Downtown Dallas closer to the Art District. The location could not have been more perfect, the Perot Museum was right across the street and we walked to several different restaurants and bars. The less money on Uber the better! Even though it is in downtown it’s a very safe area, never once did I feel unsafe as we were walking around.
The Fairmont Dallas gifted us with a gorgeous suite and conjoining room for the weekend. This was more than enough space for the four of us. Myself and my friend Bailey shared the suite with the King bed while the other to girls both got their own Queen beds in the conjoining room. The suite was perfect for us to all congregate in the living area. We enjoyed some snack around the table and I would be lying if I said we didn’t watch any TV. The season premiere of The Bachelor was on so…duh! We had to watch!
The Fairmont Dallas knows how to treat their guests. Each night we came home to waters and fruit with our beds turned down for us. They even put slippers at the side of each bed so when you get up in the morning you can cozy. And probably my favorite part was the bottles of toiletries all had my name personalized on them. It’s clear that details matter to them.
So our girl’s weekend typically differs from either having everything planned out to just showing up and making plans as we go. This weekend was more of a go with the flow weekend. We had the perfect view of downtown and the pool. The pool was definitely high on the priority list. We are all total girl bosses, so we don’t get much time in the sun. During our first day, there was a DJ at the pool, so it was definitely THE place to be. The next we headed back to the pool in the morning, so we could squeeze some shopping in later in the day. We just relaxed and enjoyed some cocktails on floats at the pool.
We popped over to NorthPark Mall in the afternoon for some much needed retail therapy and ended the night at the Rustic, one of Dallas’ staples with live music, amazing food, and great cocktails.
We had to squeeze in one last meal together before we left, so we popped downstairs to the Pyramid Restuarant for an amazing breakfast! The fresh market-inspired menu was the perfect way to wrap up the whole weekend.
I’ve spent 8 years with the girls and I couldn’t have thought of a better way to celebrate than in Dallas at the Fairmont. Cheers to many more and thank you for hosting us, Fairmont Dallas!
