Suns Out – Grill Out: Summer BBQ Party Idea

If there is one thing my family loves to do it’s grilling out. Maybe it’s a Texas thing, but some of my favorite memories as a child are swimming in the backyard with my sister while my dad grills burgers and hot dogs. I recently went home and visited my family in Texas and of course, we had to have summer BBQ.

My parent’s just moved into a new home (downsizing after the 3 kids are finally grown), to treat them I picked up some decorations, pool floats, and grilling tools from Gordmans to get the party started.

My parent’s home is a farmhouse vibe, obviously inspired by Chip and Jo! Since they’ve only lived in the house for a few months now they are still putting the finishing touches on it and the backyard has been a bit neglected. To set the table and make grilling a breeze for my dad I also bought some glasses, drink dispenser, grill spatula, and brush.
