If you would have told me when I was in high school that I would be wearing a cute one-piece swimsuit by choice one day, I would have thought you were nuts! Granted when I was in high school the only time I wore a one-piece was when I had to at summer church camp and the options for one-piece swimsuits were very slim! It was pretty much the classic one-piece Speedo. Anyone else remember rocking that?
One-piece swimsuits have come SO far and I am so thankful for it! Now you can wear a one-piece and be just as trendy and cool as the girl laying next to you in a bikini. Like I’ve mentioned numerous times before I am fairly conservative modest dresses, so although I wear a bikini every once in a while I feel like my best self in a one-piece.
My one-piece obsession started last year when I went on my honeymoon. I purchased a black one-piece because I knew we would be doing adventurous things in St. Lucis and I didn’t want to worry about my top coming down or some other crazy wardrobe malfunction. As I wore it around the resort I felt so comfortable in it!
This year I think I am going to fully transition into one-piece swimsuits, starting with this tribal print cut out one from Red Dress Boutique.
Another perk of a one-piece is you can just throw on some bottoms like jean shorts or a skirt like I did here and you don’t have to worry about a full cover-up or throwing a dress on top.
What do you think? Are you hopping on the one-piece trend or will you be keeping it classic in a bikini?

This piece looks beautiful on you! I love one pieces – they feel glamorous and elegant in a way bikinis don’t, in my opinion (I love a bikini! They are just so different). It looks really great with that skirt, it’s the perfect length! Happy Wednesday, xAllie
