Since buying our home this time last year decorating for fall is one of the things I look forward to most, however, seasonal decor can really add up. Here is a at our simple fall home decor with pumpkins.
Fall Home Decor with Pumpkins
For our fall home decor, I tried to keep it minimal by really focusing my attention on the front porch steps and sprinkling pumpkins within the inside of our home and a centerpiece on our back patio table. To stick to a budget I got all of our large orange pumpkins, small white and orange pumpkins and gourds at Walmart. It’s not as glamorous as going to a pumpkin patch but they are significantly cheaper. All of the white pumpkins, mums, corn, and small orange pumpkins came from our local garden center.
I mentioned in the 10 things I am currently loving blog that I have been working through the Happy Hand Lettering book and in the book Maghon has a hand lettering pumpkins project and I loved the idea so I tried my hand at it for our outside and inside pumpkins. I decided to write welcome on the exterior pumpkin and hello fall on the interior. I absolutely love how they turned out and they add that extra detail that was essentially free.
I picked up these tiny ceramic pumpkins in the Target dollar spot last year and think they are so cute for just adding a touch of fall throughout the house. I have some on the mantle, by the coffee maker, on the coffee table, side tables, really everywhere I had space.
For our dining room, I really wanted to swap out my place settings for something fall but was trying to be cost-effective. I found these fall bird salad plates at Pottery Barn on major sale and layered with our white Vierti dinner plates. We always have this gold decorative bowl on our table and just switch out the content seasonally. I picked up these small pumpkins from Walmart and faux pinecones and acorns from Hobby Lobby and voila easy peasy centerpiece.
Lastly, our back patio needed some fall love so I just gathered the leftover pumpkins and clumped them together for a centerpiece. We always have these lanterns on our patio table but they feel extra fall with the pumpkins in between them.
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to fall-ify your house but just by adding some key pieces and a few (or a lot of) pumpkins and it can really transform the space.
