OK, I went from zero to fall really quickly! I was all in soaking up summer because summer really is my favorite time of year then I impulsively bought pumpkins over the weekend at Walmart and unleashed a fall beast. A few purchases later, I am in full fall mode! Seasonal home decor can add up super quick and some things are just frankly overpriced. I wanted to share some affordable fall home decor pieces that I’ve found and purchased.
One caveat is I will splurge on a nice set of seasonal dishes because they will last forever but $50 for a decorative pumpkin, hard pass.
And something else that I did not realize how expensive they were is wreaths. I picked up one at Hobby Lobby for $150 and thought, “Ok even with 40% off that’s still expensive”. The next one I picked up was $80, ummm still too much. Then I found myself googling how to make a wreath, which by the time I buy all the supplies and floral stems it would easily be about the same. After scouring the internet, I ended up finding an affordable one! The wreaths linked below are also 20% off with promo code FALL2020.
I really don’t go too crazy for fall normally because we really like our everyday home decor but adding a few fall elements is fun. Now, Christmas, that’s another story!
Affordable Fall Home Decor
For real pumpkins, my number one tip is Walmart! Their large traditional orange pumpkins are only $5 with the white and Cinderella-style pumpkins being only $4-6. It’s not as cute as going to a pumpkin patch but it’s a lot more bang for your buck. They do go quickly, so you’ll want to snag them early. If you are worried about them going bad, pumpkins typically last 6-8 weeks until they being to turn so buy them now and you’ll be good to go once you are ready to decorate for Christmas.
