It’s finally fall y’all! Praise the Lord the cooler temps here! With the shift in seasons, I wanted to share my top 10 fall wardrobe essentials with you. So many of these pieces I’ve already been wearing and plan on styling them many different ways in the upcoming weeks. That’s the thing about wardrobe staples they are perfect styling many different ways for many different occasions.
10 Fall Wardrobe Essentials
1. Cheetah Shoes
Whether they are loafers or heels a good cheetah shoe is a fall staple. They are perfect for adding a pop of print to an outfit and really make a statement without trying too hard. I’m a sucker for a cheetah print so I have both a pair of loafers and heels that I reach for daily.
2. Basic Neutral Color Sweaters
A few basic neutral sweaters are must-haves, because you can create so many different outfits with a good base and layer on the accessories.
3. Felt Hat
Felt hats are all the rage this season. Since this is a trend don’t spend too much because there’s a good chance it won’t be a trend for long. However, this is the perfect way to spice up a basic neutral sweater as I mentioned above. I love the purple hat featured above for a fun pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit.
4. Brown Booties
Brown booties are a must-have this fall because brown goes with everything. I actually really love wearing brown and navy together which was a major fashion faux pas back in the day but today’s is totally acceptable.
I got these booties for under $100 and they are perfect for casual wear or can even be transitioned to the office.
5. Staple Bag
We all know those girls…those girls who switch out their purse to match every outfit. Spoiler alert…that’s not me! I wear the same purse with 99% of my outfits. My go-to this fall is my St. Anne Tote in the print dark hunter green with navy details. This color combo pretty much goes with everything and is very fall feeling.

6. Trench Coat
I LIVE for a good trench coat moment. I have both a traditional khaki-colored trench and a navy trench coat this fall. These are timeless and look so chic when styled right.
The one above I actually rented from my Inifitely Loft box.
7. Denim Jacket
Along with a good trench coat, denim jackets are also a must-have this time of year. They are so easy to layer and are a great casual weekend option. Personally, I have an addiction and own 5 different denim jackets…four more than I recommend for the average person.
8. Denim Dress
Piggybacking off denim jackets, I also believe no fall wardrobe is complete without a denim dress. This is perfect for casual dressed down looks but can also easily be stressed up with a few accessories and can even be worn to the office with a cardigan and pumps.
9. Plaid Blazer
I try to invest in a new blazer each fall. This fall I went with a gorgeous plaid blazer since I already have a basic navy, black, and camel. If you don’t have these colors I would start here, but if not going for a traditional fall print and fabric is the perfect wardrobe staple.
10. Long Cardigan
Long cardigans have been a trend for quite a few years now, so it’s safe to say they aren’t going anywhere. I like to have a few options pending how dressy or casual I am going. I would recommend starting a camel color medium thickness cardigan to be able to transition it to many different outfits in your closet.
I hope this is helpful. With all 10 of these fall wardrobe essentials, the number of outfits you can make is endless.
