Tis the season of giving and hospitality and what better way to give than to serve those in your community. This could be volunteering at a local non-profit organization, paying for someone’s coffee behind you in line or serving others in your neighborhood.
Since Jared and I have been heads down moving, renovating and decorating we haven’t had much time to get to know others in our neighborhood. Right before Jared and I started the home buying process I went through a Bible study all around hospitality. At the time, I enjoyed it but didn’t find it very applicable to my life. We were living in an apartment and had new people moving in/out each month. I did have the space to welcome people into our home and live life with them.
Isn’t it funny how God works? Months before I even knew I’d be moving into a new home, he was preparing me and my heart to serve our new neighborhood and open my home.
It’s a hectic season for everyone and everyone is looking for a little extra love and comfort. This week I am going to bring some homemade goodies over to my neighbors and get to know them. I am going to extend an invite to people who will be alone this Thanksgiving and bring them into our home to celebrate as one and urge them to come as they are.
They don’t have to be dressed to the nines or have anything prepared, heck I can’t guarantee my house will even be clean. I can guarantee that I’ll be wearing something cozy like this sweatshirt and sneakers and ready to live life with them.

I really enjoy your blogs and post and to be honest I’m not even sure I know how I stumbled on to your page. I have been in marketing for many years and find most “ authentic “ influencers to be far from real and authentic. ( I’m a harsh critic) and can say I never leave comments…… this may be my first. I find you very real and true to your followers. Keep up the great work
