Jared and I are on our second year of marriage and despite having been together 9 years we are still building our collection of memorabilia. Jared and I have started collecting Christmas ornaments on every trip we take, which has been super fun. We do have a strictly red and gold theme for our tree so we try to find ornaments in each city to match. I thought it would be fun to show you some of our Christmas ornaments on our tree that are special to us.
This was the ornament that spurred our travel ornament tradition. We got this ornament on our honeymoon when we couldn’t decide what souvenirs we wanted. I love the simplicity of the sand dollar with the gold glitter, but also every year when we pull out ornaments we get to reminisce on our honeymoon.
My mother-in-law actually gave me this ornament obviously because of the significance fo a pineapple in my life. I love the idea of looking back on this ornament one day and remembering this time in my life.
This is actually a new ornament for us this year. I picked it up at a local shop, Freckled Hen Farmhouse. I just loved this and who knows where will be later on life so this will be perfect to commemorate our time in Arkansas.
This ornament is extra special because it’s from our local children’s hospital. This is something Jared and I are both very passionate about supporting in our community.
I got this ornament last year at Freckled Hen Farmhouse and this one is Beau’s favorite, so we have to keep it high on the tree so he doesn’t get it.
This is our most recent addition after our trip to Hilton Head this summer.
We do also have some non-sentimental ones and filler ornaments but these truly mean the most to me. Getting new Christmas ornaments is such a fun tradition and really allows us to look back on the fun memories each year as we pull everything out to decorate.
Love! Love! Love! This post. Thank you for sharing this was really sweet, touching and relatable. Love your Christmas ornaments.
Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
