I am jumping in full force to Christmas this year starting with decor. Now I put up my decor really early this year primarily so I could give you some inspiration before you get started. I do feel like I need to preface this blog by saying I absolutely LOVE tacky Christmas lights. If I had my way our house would have multi-colored everything! Jared is the classy one in our relationship, so this is why our house looks so good. Believe it or not, he does 90% of all the interior decorating.
Christmas 2019 Decor
Most of our decor is from previous years but I did get some new ribbon for the tree. I just had this moment when I pulled everything out where I was like ew, I hate all of this (probably because it wasn’t multi-colored lol). Once Jared talked me down from the ledge we decided to go get some new ribbon and start there. Imagine that…I just needed some new ribbon and it changed everything.
I did get a few new pieces this year like this gorgeous snow globe from Freckled Hen Farmhouse. Now I am not normally a sentimental person, but I had a moment with this snow globe where I thought this is something I could give to my kids one day. I just love the simple gold and silver look, plus nothing screams Christmas more than snow globes.
Last year, we had this garland over our window in our kitchen but Jared and I both had the same idea to hang it on the entryway railing. I added some simple bows and I’m obsessed with it. I sprinkled some other bows around the house to tie everything together like on the bucket of pine cones and on our ginger jar.
Target’s Christmas section and dollar spot are on another level this year. If you are on a budget I highly recommend checking it out because I scored some awesome things like this cheers sign and napkins for the bar cart.
I’m super happy with how everything turned out and so is Jared. I already feel like when we take everything down our house is going to look so empty.
