I bought my first pair of Jack Rogers at the Draper James in Nashville. Last spring/summer Draper James teamed up with Jack Rogers for an exclusive limited-edition collaboration. I really wanted to invest in a pair, but I just really couldn’t justify the price. I was unsure about my size and how it would fit and I just didn’t know how often I would wear them.
I have a hard time pulling the trigger when online shopping, I normally just leave things in my cart for weeks until it sells out then tell myself it wasn’t meant to be.
Flash forward to this year, I had been eyeballing the new arrivals from the collaboration but then again just couldn’t pull the trigger online. While I was in Nashville I popped into the store and instantly saw the shoes and I knew. I told myself “Angela, you’ve been thinking about buying these shoes for over a year just do it already!”
Since I was in person, I felt more confident in what size I needed because I could try them and I could also see how comfortable they were and hey, I didn’t have to pay for shipping!
I was torn between the blue and white seersucker and the seafoam and navy gingham, ultimately I went with the gingham because they felt more summery and I already had a navy and white pair of sandals that I would wear with any outfit I would’ve worn the seersucker ones with.
Jack Rogers Review
Let’s start with sizing, after looking at a lot of reviews people say to size up. I would disagree, I got my normal size and they fit perfectly. The strap across the top was tight at first, but because it’s leather after time it stretched out and formed to my foot perfectly.
Jack Rogers do take a little time to break in but they are super comfortable once you get past the initial period. I suggest wearing them in your house or to the office if you sit all day. This will help them form to your foot. I do not recommend wearing them the first time for something you are going to do a lot of walking in. I promise your feet will thank me!
Jack Rogers are a classic southern summer staple and what’s more southern than Reese Witherspoon and Draper James? I’m glad I went with a bold statement for my first pair because I feel like it makes them special when I wear them. If you are considering investing in a pair of Jack Rogers, I highly recommend taking the plunge because you will love them and wear them for years to come.
Personally, I prefer Palm Beach Sandals over Jack Rogers due to quality and longevity. Check out my side-by-side comparison here.
I splurged on a pair of the jacks flat sandals in black I wore them maybe 5 times and lost 1 heel and the other foots sole cracked. Since I assumed this pair is faulty I contacted customer service and got the most horrible experience. Lorena answered that she was really sorry but could not help me. So they take your money but don’t back up their products.
I bought 2 pair on line. The Gold flat sandal and the White wedge. When I put them on …. I found the toe portion was narrow. My big toe and pinkie toe hung off.
The size was correct. The shoes fit my foot perfectly but at the toe. If I went up a size then the shoe would be too big. I did a little research on Jack Roger shoes and the narrow toe was one of the biggest complaints.
was so disappointed because I was in love with both shoes and was so excited to wear them on my trip.
