This season it is all about the loafers! I am seeing loafers everywhere from every retailer. For my birthday, I really wanted a pair of Sam Edleman loafers. I had been eyeing them for a while and they were at the top of my list. While Jared and I were in Nashville we did some shopping and I strolled into a store I had never heard of called Peter Nappi. Because I am normally on the thrifty side I get really weird when I go into expensive stores, because I know I’m not buying anything.
Luckily, they were having a 50% off Labor Day on the entire store, then I was intrigued. I saw these gorgeous loafers and knew I had to try them on. They were made in hand made in Italy with Italian leather loafers. I mean that’s so fancy right?
I loved them but I was hesitant. They were normally $300 but they were on sale for $150. After I tried them on and some convincing from Jared. We bought them. They are the perfect addition to my closet and will definitely last me for seasons to come.
I called my mom and was telling her about them and she was pretty confused on how I would style them. So if you are a like her have no fear. Here are a couple of ways I’ve worn them so far.
How To Style Loafer For Women
This seems like the obvious choice, but skinny jeans are an easy place to start. I went with a white tee and denim jacket for a cool girl hip look, but I’ve also worn them with a stripe tee and a cardigan in my This or That post with Duffield Lane for a preppier twist.
I LOVE the contrast of the rich cognac color with the white jeans. White jeans are summery, but by pairing them with a sweater and a rich fall color, it’s the perfect transition outfit.
I would also definitely pair them with a dress. I think an A-line cotton dress that hits right above the knee paired with loafers would be so adorable! The thing is loafers are so versatile, so they truly look good with anything!
It looks like these shoes are no longer available, but here are some similar loafers.
And because I am so into this trend, here are some more loafers that are on my wish list.
