I have this vision for my wedding day pictures to showcase the bridesmaids dresses and my wedding dress on gold sequin hangers. I immediately headed to Etsy to find some to purchase and they run for about $15 each. I bought all of the supplies for less than $20 off Amazon and decided to DIY it myself. Keep reading for instructions on these DIY sequin hangers and definitely some tips I learned.
Supplies Needed:
The process is pretty simple. Wrap the gold sequin trim around the hanger and glue every 3-4 wrap to hold in place.
I labeled the back of each hanger with a B so I knew each hanger would face the same direction. The first hanger I did I started from the end and and worked my way up. The second hanger I did I started from the middle and this was SO much easier. I was able to have more control on the middle and then snake the ends around.
Warning: This DIY takes ALOT of patience. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, so it takes me a solid 20 minutes per hanger because I wanted to ensure all of the sequins are facing the same way.
Stay tuned to see how my getting ready pictures turn out on the wedding day.
