It seems like each Disney trip I go on, I find another DIY to do. This time I wanted to make a Stoney Clover-esque Disney backpack, but for cheaper. Stoney Clover backpacks start at about $150 with each Disney patch costing about $18. Plus I LOVE to bring the Vera Bradley Campus Backpack to Disney because it’s a perfect size! I wanted a refresh since last time and went with the Recycled Cotton in Orchid and added some patches to it and love how it turned out!

DIY Disney Backpack
I found all of the patches on Etsy and all though they are all iron on/stick on I reinforced them with E6000 glue and had no issues! This glue is tough and helped them stay in place all trip even with taking them in and out of rides!
Here’s the links to the letters I purchased from Etsy:
To really embrace the Disney magic I swapped the A for a castle patch I also found on Etsy. I did attempt to iron this one on but it slightly melted so I went back to glueing it on.
Lastly, I found these fun 50th buttons for my sister and me. Buttons are something Disney is known for and I got stopped several times asking where I got these.

My Sister’s Backpack:
My sister wanted to do something similar after I face-timed her to show her what I was making. She found the Yellow Recycled Cotton Campus Backpack at the Vera Bradley outlet store for less than $50. Now her yellow did get dirty VERY easily. She accidentally set in something wet at a restaurant and had a big ring at the bottom. I would recommend going with a dark color if possible.
She then got all of her patches from Hobby Lobby. She also added her name with her Cricut.
If you like my patch jacket but want it in a backpack from this would be the way to do it!
