5 Wardrobe Staples You Need In Your Closet

There are five wardrobe staples every girl needs in her closet. These pieces are versatile and can be transitioned into many different outfits. These can pieces you find at Target or items you splurge on so you can have for many years, either way, you will get great wear out of them.

1. White Button-Down Shirt

A button-down is easily the most worn item in my closet (read more about how I style them different ways here). A classic white button-down is easy to style dressed up or dressed down, layered under a sweater or worn on its own. There are so many ways to wear it while style looking stylish and fresh.

2. Boyfriend Jeans

There was a time where I thought skinny jeans were the only jeans, man oh man, was I missing out. My boyfriend jeans are a go-to for me. They are comfortable and cute as well a flattering. I love dressing them down with sneakers or dressing them up with a pair of pumps like I did here.

3. Nude Pumps

I’ve had nude pumps for years because they go with everything! Not until recently did I invest in a solid pair of nude heels. My favorite are the Sam Edelman Hazel pumps. They are SO comfortable, the perfect height and a stunning silhouette with not too much toe cleavage.

Nude pumps are great because they can worn with dresses in the summer, pants in the winter, going out with girlfriends or worn to the office.

4. Neutral Purse

I know some girls switch out their purses based on their outfits, but I do not have time for that! I am too busy throwing on mascara and running out the door I do not have time to switch over everything in my purse. I like to go for neutral purses like this Axis print so that way I have one less thing to think about.

5. Camel Coat

This is also a new addition to my wardrobe this Christmas. Jared got this coat for me and I do not know how I lived it without it before. I love the color because it goes with everything and can be worn with a simple elegant look or tone down a bright colored outfit. This coat will be in my closet for years to come.
