One of the places that has been on my list forever was Charleston, SC. When we won tickets to the Masters, I knew we just had to extend the weekend trip to Charleston, SC for a few days. It was only a short 2-hour car ride from Augusta, GA and TOTALLY worth it. We just had to make a weekend trip to Charleston, SC.
We headed to Charleston straight from the Masters on Wednesday night and spent Wednesday evening to Saturday mid-day in Charleston. We left on Saturday as opposed to Sunday because flights were half the cost.
Below is an hour by hour breakdown of Charleston and yes, this is exactly how I had it planned prior to going. (Type A much?)

Thursday:

9 AM: Pineapple Fountain – We were soooo bummed because when we got there it was turned off for maintenance, so you’ll see we had to make another visit.
9:45 AM – 11 AM: Walk their Pier and visit Charleston City Market
11:30 AM: Brunch at Poogan’s Porch
1 PM: Change and Head to Magnolia Manor

Friday
9:30 AM: Rent Bikes – This was the best way to see the city! We ended up riding about 8 miles and seeing so many sights.
11:30 AM: Lunch at Leon’s. This is hands down one of the best lunches I have ever had. Fried Chicken and champagne, does it get any better? If you reserve your table on OpenTable you can book the Chef’s Table with a perfect view of the kitchen.
1 PM: High Wire Distillery – Jared loves visiting distilleries and this one was right next door to Leons so it made total sense. I also had an AMAZING gin cocktail.
2 PM: Relax and Freshen Up – biking was so tiring!
3 PM: Shopping on King Street. Here are the favorites I popped into:
5 PM: Freshen Up for Dinner
6 PM: Pineapple Fountain and Ice Cream – when on vacation am I right? Dessert before dinner! Always!
7 PM: Apps and Drinks at Paw Paw
8 PM: Explored and went to the night market
9 PM: Dinner at Magnolias
Saturday Morning
9 AM: Woke Up and Packed
10 AM: All intentions were to go back to Callie Hot Little Biscuit, but there was a HUGE race happening downtown, so we settled for Starbucks. We also took some pictures on our walk there.
11 AM: Headed to the airport
We crammed everything into a few short days, but it was so much fun! Naturally, I changed outfits after every meal so optimize my photo opportunities, but regardless we are already itching to go back. It’s definitely our new favorite city!
