Is It OK To Have More Bridesmaids Than Groomsmen?

Is It OK to have more bridesmaids than groomsmen and vice-versa? Yes! 100% yes! First off it’s your day, so you do whatever you want! It was never my intention to have an uneven wedding party, but it just happened that way. Long story short, I had to fire my Maid of Honor…let me know if you’d be interested in hearing that story!

After some completely obnoxious and unnecessary drama, I was left with an uneven number of bridesmaids to groomsmen. After first I was weirded out by it, but I am SO glad it turned out the way it did. I would have hated to not have one of my best girls beside me on my special day, simply because Jared had one less person than I did.

Is It OK To Have More Bridesmaids Than Groomsmen?

I had 5 bridesmaids total in my wedding party, so I wasn’t the center in all my photos but I was ok with it because again I couldn’t imagine these girls not with me and I would have hated to add someone just for picture aesthetic.

For the logistic, the guys entered the ceremony separately than the girls so this wasn’t a problem. During the recessional, I paired the last guy with two girls. This is also how they entered the reception.

I have said this over and over in this series, but I will say it again. Your wedding is your wedding, so do what YOU want!
