LOFT is one of the stores that I feel like a lot of people talk about, but a lot of people have also never shopped at. I was only introduced to LOFT a few years ago, by a friend who was petite. Over the past few years, I’ve picked up some tips and tricks for shopping at LOFT.
Before we get into the tips and tricks, let’s talk about why I love LOFT. From the outside looking in especially in a mall LOFT can look expensive or intimidating, but in reality, it’s quite the opposite. LOFT is actually the little sister brand to Ann Taylor. I like to compare as similar to J.Crew Factory to J.Crew. The prices are great and it feels more grown up and better quality than something like an Old Navy.
One misconception I think people have about LOFT is they only sell petite. Although they do have a large petite section, which is something I’m thankful for. They offer all sizes in plus size!

Tips And Tricks for Shopping at LOFT
1. Always shop sale first
LOFT’s sale section rotates pretty frequently in store, so I always like to head to the sale section first then branch out to the rest of the store. The also normally have special deals like an additional 40% off sale items.
2. Be patient
LOFT is the Hobby Lobby of clothing. 99% of the time you can get at least 40% off. Rarely do I buy something full price, especially online. In-store can be a little trickier because of the limited sizing, but most of the time I either try it on in store and wait for it go on sale online or I just continue to pop in and check the sale racks.
Just a few weeks ago I tried on this stripe top and loved it. It was originally $50 and then just last week it was on sale for $30 and was then discounted again. (check out the deal here!) Patience is key!
3. Teacher discount
For all my teacher girls out there LOFT loves teachers! Enjoy 15% off your purchase in store with a school id. If you’re not a teacher, drag your mom, sister, girlfriend, neighbor along with you!
4. In-Store and Online Prices Vary
I’ve found on numerous occasions that what pay for is sometimes cheaper in store. I’m not sure if it’s because of the limited space they have to mark down things more frequently, but I try to shop in store when I can because I can normally get a better deal, plus I don’t have to pay shipping.
I hope this helps when shopping t LOFT and remember just be patient and wait for a good sale!
