When I saw this dress preppy work dress for $25 I instantly knew it was a must-buy. I had a dress so similar to this YEARS ago and absolutely loved it. Jared and I actually took engagement photos in it (you can see that throwback here). Sometimes you just come across a dress that makes you feel like you and even more rarely is it one that is perfect for work.
The Perfect Preppy Work Dress for $25
I’m a total sucker for shirt dresses and a total sucker for gingham so this is a match made in heaven. Last year, I snagged a Draper James gingham shirt dress which I loved and wore all season long but it had a full skirt and was midi-length (see more here) whereas this year I wanted something above the knee with a slightly larger gingham pattern.
When it came to styling, I kept the accessories very minimal with simple nude rattan heels and a solid navy purse. This really keeps the focus on the dress and the accessories don’t compete with the bold pattern.
The bow also adds another layer of detail so I also kept the jewelry minimal with some pearl and gold hoops and minimal bracelets.
This dress does have pockets but as a pear-shaped girl, they are sewn well and don’t add bulkiness to the hips. If there is one dress to snag this Spring I would recommend this one. Not only does it work for the office like I styled it here but throw on some white sneakers and a denim jacket and you are good to go for a more casual look.
This dress is currently on sale for $25 and stocked in all sizes but I don’t see that lasting long! Snag it before it’s too late!
