I feel like it’s a common misconception that blazers are scary to wear or are only for very professional attire, but blazers are one of my favorite pieces to style because they are so versatile for day and night. I recently got this gorgeous pink blazer in my Infinitely Loft box and knew it would be perfect for a business casual look. The color is pretty Spring-y but the wool fabric makes it perfect for winter. I am all about wearing color in winter, especially to work. Here is a little deep dive into this Pink Blazer Business Casual Outfit for some inspiration.
Breaking Down The Thought Process Of Putting Together This Pink Blazer Business Casual Outfit
If you have a blazer in your closet that is just collecting dust, now is the time to brush off the dust and wear it. I have several blazers and wear them frequently. I have everything from a very structured, professional blazer to more casual, oversized fitting blazers like this one in my closet. The easiest way to wear a blazer is with a basic white tee or white button-down. Additionally, in the winter throwing a simple sweater underneath a blazer is equally as chic and easy to do.
Since this pink blazer is such a bold color I went with a basic cream-colored sweater with a slight polka dot pattern on it to keep it simple and let the blazer be the star of the show.
To really make this look more casual I went with a high waisted light wash cropped denim. This look would look great with a dark denim skinny jean but I think the switch up really makes this look different. I love the fringe detailing contrasting with the structured blazer.
For shoes, I went with a simple brown leather loafer. This is definitely your classic work shoe and so I love the balance it brings to the outfit to really tie everything back to a business casual work look.
The Fit
Blazer
This blazer runs true to size. I am wearing my normal size in blazers which is a size 2. You’ll see I cuffed the sleeves, but that’s only to show off my watch and bracelet for functionality not because of fit.
I love the double breast button details making it different than your traditional professional blazer style.
Jeans
These jeans are a new addition to my closet. My Trunk Club stylist actually sent these to me in my recent box. They aren’t something I would typically reach for but I am obsessed. They are perfect for casual weekends but also can be dressed up as I did here. They also run true to size and are high waisted. I’m 5’2″ and could probably have done a petite but I don’t think they are horribly long.
