It’s no surprise that I am addicted to my LifePlanner. I take it everywhere with me and love decorating it weekly, (you can read more about it here), however, I have been using the PetitePlanner Folio system in addition to my LifePlanner for about a month now. I know what you are thinking…”Two planners?!” but hear me out, here is a PetitePlanner Folio Review and how I have been using it.
PetitePlanner Folio Review
What Is the PetitePlanner Folio?
The PetitePlanner Folio System has the ability for you to completely customize your perfect planning system to your needs, whether you’re planning by the day, week or month, setting goals, budgeting, meal planning and more. Mix and match up to four of these portable, goal-specific planners to carry in the On the Go Folio. The On The Go Folio holds up to four petite planners, simply slide the books into the elastics and you are ready to go. It also comes in several color variations and you can even personalize it in true Erin Condren fashion.
What’s In My PetitePlanner Folio and How Am I Using It?
I currently have all four spots filled in my PetitePlanner Folio. I have a dot-grid notebook, the PetitePlanner Daily Planner Volume 1 and Volume 2, and the Sticker Album. These are perfect for everyday work needs. Although I love my LifePlanner I find that it’s best used to keep track of life/personal events, get-togethers with friends, Junior League meetings, blog posts, deadlines, etc. Things that I need at a high-level view and a quick glance. When it comes to day to day I find that I need a little more space and freedom to flush everything out, that’s where the PetitePlanner Folio System comes in.
PetitePlanner Daily Planner Volume 1 and Volume 2
The PetitePlanner Daily Planner Volume 1 and Volume 2 are perfect for daily to-do’s or keeping track of your schedule. Since I work at an ad agency, I have to log my hours to ensure we are billing the clients correctly (which is really common in the agency world), so on the side with the 3 sections I have been using the slots to keep track of hours, meetings and tasks. On the side with the bubbles to check off I have been using that to keep track of my daily to do’s. Finally, in the open space, I have been jotting down any blog post or one-off things that need to be done that day.
I really like this style because it gives me enough space to write down everything in my 8-5, where my LifePlanner keeps track of everything else in my life. Along with the daily format, there is a quick overview of the month, which I have been using to write down big deadlines or work-related events.
The Petite Daily Planners are broken out by quarters (Jan-March or April-June) which makes it nice if you just need to pop one out and go. There are sticker sheets included in the back as well for easy color coordination and organization.
Dot-Grid Notebook
I am a die-hard dot-grid notebook lover. I love having the freedom to write wherever and draw an arrow or whatever to get my thoughts out. Because I have been using my PetitePlanner Folio System for work I wanted to keep a notebook in the system, so I can easily take it with me to meetings and have everything I need in one place. There are 80 pages in the notebook and an index at the beginning to help with organization.
Sticker Album
Lastly, the Sticker Album was just what I needed to keep my stickers organized and in one place. It holds up to 48 sticker sheets and fits perfectly in the On the Go Folio. Before I had all my stickers in the back pocket of my LifePlanner and it was adding so much weight to my LifePlanner. Now I can have all of my stickers in one place whether I need them at work or at home.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I have been using the PetitePlanner Folio System for about a month now and I have been really enjoying it. It helps me stay organized and I do feel like I have to make everything perfect in my PetitePlanner as I do in my LifePlanner. If you are interested in giving this a try without fully committing I recommend getting one of the PetitePlanner books and using it awhile before fulling investing in the system.

I’m highly considering converting to this system next year instead of my life planner! While I do love my life planner, I think this will fit my needs better with being able to customize a little more. Thank you for blogging about this 💙

I can totally see the appeal of a second planner – I have one that has MY WHOLE LIFE it it and I’m terrified to take it with me sometimes and misplace it. If I kept a smaller one that fit into any bag, that would be much more user friendly and I would still have the info I need!
Maggie says
I love how the Piete Planner could fit in my purse! Rather than my larger Erin Condren planner. It might be time to make the switch to two planners.
Lindsey says
I use the petite planner for daily tasks and home life and the monthly life planner for work. I am still working at trying to find planner peace, but hopefully soon!
