A few weeks ago, I was in Tulsa for a day trip and popped into the Madewell store. Their new sneakers immediately stood out to me, since they are an investment I wanted to share a full Madewell sneakers review.
Madewell Sneakers Review
Madewell released their very first sneakers in early February before then they just carried 3rd party brands which they will continue to do.
Madewell says…
“9 color options including rainbow embroidery, glitter accents, and a clean monochrome look.
5 must-have styles that are also available in men’s sizes.
3 high-quality materials to choose from: sturdy leather, classic canvas, and smooooth suede.
0 break-in time required—we designed ’em to be comfy and supportive from the get-go.
100% cushiness factor, thanks to special MWL Cloudlift insoles. You’ve just gotta feel them to believe them.”
I would 100% agree that the break-in time is 0, which is AMAZING! There is nothing worse than getting a new pair of sneakers that rub a blister on the back of your heel.
I went with the white canvas and gum sole (technically called pale parchment). I love how casual they are and how well they pair with dresses and jeans. Since they are canvas you can also throw them in the wash if they need a quick cleaning.
Here are a few ways I’ve styled them since I’ve gotten them.
They recommend going up a size, but I got my normal and they fit perfect. They are a little snug going on, but if you loosen the laces to slip on they fit perfectly.
I have seriously worn them several times a week paired with a blazer or a dress or sweatshirt and jeans. They are so versatile and chic.
My only complaint is I wish you could monogram them. On the outer heel, they feature a very small MWL, I would have LOVED the option to switch out the Madewell branding for a personalized monogram. Madewell offers other personalization features for other items, so this would be such a unique touch.
