You know my love for Lilly runs deep but over the years my closet has been bursting at the seams with colorful items from Lilly Pulitzer so I’ve scaled back a little this year. I shifted my focus on to the Lilly swim this summer and have been rewearing some old classics. However, the Lilly Pulitzer Pollie Midi Dress caught my eye and if there is one dress you buy from Lilly this season it needs to be this one!
Lilly Pulitzer Pollie Midi Dress
This dress is so different from the typical shift dress you normally think of when Lilly comes to mind. It’s a midi length and the mix of the print and ric rac detail and unique neckline really sets this dress apart.
If you guys can’t tell I’m on a huge midi dress obsession lately. I just feel more comfortable in a midi or maxi dress length than I do anything above the knee. This fit and flare style is so flattering and such a show stopper.
If you tend to look for things more muted or try to blend in this may not be the dress for you the neon pink print really pops and looks gorgeous with a tan. This dress would be the perfect beach vacation dinner dress. It’s also extremely breathable because it’s 100% cotton making it perfect for a vacation dress or any hot weather climate.
To keep it simple, I went with my favorite Lilly shoulder bag for summer and some simple gold double strap heels from Amazon.
I’m wearing a size 8 and it runs true to size. The straps are a little long but nothing a little tacking or a tailor can’t fix. It’s definitely a splurge but totally worth it. However, I have a strong feeling we might see this in the After Party Sale in September, but it will go quick if it makes an appearance so keep an eye out!
