A few weeks ago, I got this white linen blazer from Chadwicks of Boston and I was definitely on the fence about it. I couldn’t decide if I liked it or if I looked like a doctor. I paired with some business casual pieces and loved the look. Here is a closer look at how to style a white blazer.
How To Style A White Blazer
I love linen because it’s such a breathable lightweight fabric and in the south, breathable fabric is a must-have in the warmer months. The fabric of this blazer makes it easy to wear now and wear throughout August.
I’ve been really into boyfriend style blazers lately, so this one definitely caught my eye. The boyfriend cut is easier to make casual in my opinion. I love them with skinny jeans and with boyfriend jeans paired with a basic team or a button down. The boyfriend style blazer is great but sometimes it feels like too much fabric, so I like to fold my sleeves one to times and push them up past my elbows to give it some more shape.
For this particular look, I knew I wanted to pair with a casual tee that had some color but also tied in the white. I’m a stripes girl through and through, so a basic striped tee was a no brainer for me. I love this green and white t-shirt because it’s a little different than my go-to navy and white stripes.
I went with boyfriend jeans and pump because I love the juxtaposition of the dressy pump with the casual loose-fitting silhouette of the boyfriend jeans.
TIP: Don’t be afraid to wear multiple “boyfriend” style pieces as long as you have some other elements to switch up and make it feel more feminine.
My go-to work bag is my Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote and I love this pop of pink this pattern gives up to really tie the whole look together. Read a full review about the Barrington Gifts St. Anne Tote here.
Grab a coffee and a pair of earrings and head out the door in style. You could also totally swap the pumps for some cute sneakers and be casual Friday ready!
