My family always jokes that Jared and I are overdressed…and we probably are. We’re the type of people who lounge around in jeans. So when it comes to casual outfits I struggle, my go-to outfit is a pair of jeans and a blouse with like loafers or mules. I did recently get this vest from Abercrombie and I’ve loved pushing my comfort zone and finding multiple ways to wear it for casual looks. Here’s my take on how to style a vest for a casual winter look.
How To Style A Vest for a Casual Winter Look
This oversized vest from Abercrombie (I’m wearing a size small) is so comfy and cozy but is pretty bulky so to balance out the oversized silhouette I went with a plain cream-colored bodysuit. This bodysuit looks like a t-shirt but stays tucked in and is perfect for layering.
For jeans, I went with a classic casual light wash in a straight leg. This makes the outfit super laidback but because it’s a straight leg it’s tapered for shape and looks nice with sneakers.
My favorite way to make an outfit feel sportier or more casual is with my adidas Superstar sneakers. These are a classic (in my opinion) and look great with 99% of casual items.
Now I’m not typically a hat person but I do love hats when I’m on that last day of hair before washing. My roots like greasy AF but my ends still look good so a hat is a perfect solution! I have several of these plain hats from Amazon which are great for something simple without a logo on it. I have the colors navy, red and pink.
I threw on my favorite sunnies and boom, the perfect casual winter look!
This outfit is perfect for running errands, the dog park, enjoying a drink at an ice house, or just hanging out!
