Back in early June (during the last launch), I purchased my first Hill House Nap Dress. I definitely caved in to all the chatter from my blogger friends and was influenced to splurge. I had been eyeing it for a while but couldn’t justify the price, however, the Houston heat got to me and I thought it would be perfect for the scorching days. I learned so much from my first shopping experience I thought I would share what I learned and what you need to know before the next Hill House Nap Dress Restock on August 6th.
Everything You Need To Know Before The Hill House Nap Dress Restock
First things, first set your alarms and add a calendar block to your schedule for Friday, August 6th at 12 PM Eastern! This is when the next launch/restock will happen!
From my previous experience, I expected this to be like the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. However, I would say it’s a little tamer. I actually ended up being in a meeting last time so I wasn’t able to hop on and purchase until an hour after launch but I was still able to snag the two dresses I wanted.
Dropping 8/6 will be:
The Emerald Trellis Ellie Nap Dress
The Emerald Trellis Nesli Nap Dress
The Emerald Trellis Athena Nap Dress
The Emerald Trellis Pouch
The Pastel Trellis Ellie Nap Dress
The Pastel Trellis Tiny Ellie Nap Dress
The Pastel Trellis Hotel Robe
The Pastel Trellis Pouch
The Pastel Trellis Sisi Silk Pillowcase
The Pastel Trellis Bedding

If I had to guess we’ll see several older styles and prints be restocked as well. Something I’ve noticed is restocks do happen inconsistently and go quick so you have to hop on it. I like to keep the Hill House tab open on my phone and just refresh it ever so often to check. This Facebook group is also a really good resource for alerts on restocks of old prints. I’m assuming older items get restocked in one to two quantities as returns happen. I am on the lookout for the solid navy one in my size.
The Ellie Nap Dress is the iconic one that I own and is definitely the most popular. It’s super flattering and very lightweight, making it perfect for those hot summer days.
It’s bra-friendly which is a HUGE plus and depending on the print you get it’s not see-through. It is not lined as a heads up. I typically wear nude undergarments and have had an issue, but I’ve heard the swiss dot fabric is VERY sheer so something to look out for!
EVERYONE and their mom recommend to size down, however, I disagree! I ordered my normal size small and I am SO glad I did. It fits like a glove and is very flattering. I could see where sizing down might be good for some but for me I am glad I didn’t. I think a good rule of thumb is if you are on the higher end of a size then get your smaller size (for example, I’m a true small in 90% of things but occasionally I am small/medium so the small was perfect for me). If you tend to be on the lower end of a size, say in between an extra small and small you might size down. For 90% of people, I think your normal size would fit perfectly.
The last thing to keep in mind when ordering is shipping! The first two dresses I ordered the day of the last launch took FOREVER to ship! I ordered on June 16th and it didn’t arrive until July 7th, ok not super long but I was eagerly waiting. My second order from a random restock only took less than a week, so I think it’s safe to say on big launches shipping is delayed from the normal shipping. Since things are transitioning into fall I think that’s important to remember given it might not arrive until mid to late August.
Overall, I really didn’t get the hype behind the Hill House Nap Dress until I purchased but now I am all about it! Cheers and happy shopping!
