To kick off summer my two best friends and I threw a flamingo party. What is a flamingo party, you ask?! It is a party completely covered in flamingos and pink decor to “flamingle” into summer. Our inspiration for the party came from the show, Southern Charm. If you haven’t seen the show, Southern Charm is the classiest trashy reality tv show in Bravo. You HAVE to watch it.
For our party, we had all the guests dress to the nines in pink attire. We decorated with flamingo and pink everything. Oh How Charming provided a super easy flamingo party box to help us decorate. The box included flamingo straws, a “Lets Flamingle” banner, a tassel banner and some other fun goodies, like confetti and balloons. This made decorating a breeze because all we needed to get were cups, table clothes and other necessities like plates.
No party is complete without custom koozies. Remember my pineapple koozies from last summer? Paper Leigh hooked me up with some adorable koozies for the party. Our friends were pretty impressed by this detail, to say the least.
I created a playlist for the event that ranged from songs like Love Shack by B52’s to Side to Side by Ariana Grande and 2 Phones by Kevin Gates. That way everyone could jam out. Check out the full playlist here.
No party would complete without a festive drink. For our pink party punch, we mixed 2 parts raspberry lemonade with 1 part Malibu Rum.
Our final touch to the party was our custom, SnapChat Filter. Did you know custom SnapChat filters are like really cheap? Ours cost us about $10 for 12 hours. It just adds that little extra detail your guests won’t be expecting.
