We are just about six months out from Jared and I’s big day! EEK, I can’t wait! We met with our amazing photographer, Margo Beck. She shoots a majority of our blog pictures, but engagements are like HER thing! Jared and I are not a huge PDA lovey-dovey type people, that sounds weird to say out loud (…or type) but it’s not really something we do in public. We like to show our affection to each other in private. Maybe it’s the way we were raised or the private Baptist university we met at but that’s just not who we are.
We wanted our engagement pictures to be fun and playful and feel like us. Feeling like us was the most important thing. There were several times Margo said try this or do this and we would try it but I would stop because it didn’t feel like us. I didn’t want to look back several years from now and think why didn’t we take these pictures in the middle of a random field when we are both clearly city people.
I absolutely LOVE how they turned out. They feel very us. They are in our city, with our venue in the background, wearing clothes that feel like us.

Margo did an awesome job of capturing our love and playful spirit. One tip: If you do try popping champagne it is a mess definitely save it for last because you will be left sticky and wet.
