Eat More Tacos

Now that the wedding is over, I have been enjoying the newlywed life. I’m going to be really honest for a minute, I can’t cook to save my life! Like for real, before I was married I ate grilled cheeses and frozen pizza everyday, I even got a skillet for Christmas and called it a spatula, but I am trying to step my game up for Jared. (Jared, you’re welcome!)

In no way am I going to transition into a food blogger (if you want that, go check out Lively Table), but I have been pretty proud of the meals I’ve been making lately and they are even good enough for leftovers. That’s the real test! I made homemade marina sauce in my food processor. Who am I?

Even though I have been testing my culinary skills, Jared and I still go out on date night at least once a week. We’ve made a list of places in NW Arkansas and have been slowly chipping away at it. We told ourselves that we can’t go back to a place until we have completed the list.

I have been traveling all over the place lately and I was back in Fort Worth for a few days and of course had to pop in to my favorite taco place. NWA just doesn’t do tacos like Texas. The tacos at Salsa Limon are delicious and they have a wide variety to choose from and their salsa’s are to die for. (If you want more of my top FW faves, check out this blog). My goto is 1 chicken taco and 1 beef taco with the mild salsa with a Mexican coke.

On The Thrifty Pineapple, I try to be as authentic and genuine as possible. Even if that includes chomping down on a taco for a few pictures. Some of my favorite photoshoots I’ve done have been ones including food like the popsicle blog or the grilled cheese blog.

A few posts back I shared that I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl for an everyday casual style. This look is no different! I love a good graphic tee because it makes any outfit a little more whimsical and who doesn’t love a good pineapple t-shirt. Pair that with some jeans and solid front tuck and that’s pretty much my go to look.

I splurged on these denim shorts from Madewell for the honeymoon and just like their skinny jeans, I’m in love. To top the look off, I went with my current obsession, these fun espadrilles. This is the perfect eating tacos on the patio look.
