I feel we all have those days, you know it’s Monday your alarm just went off and you’ve already hit snooze one too many times so you roll out of bed in a panic. You rush to get ready, hate everything in your closet, and can’t decide what to wear. We’ve all been there! For each season, I like to keep an outfit on standby for just those occasions. Unfortunately, I am not a morning person, so I know this feeling all too well. My go-to summer outfit is this easy summer workwear outfit that I can throw on without even thinking and knowing it’ll look good. No matter how late or tired I am I can throw this on and feel confident throughout the day.

A good pair of work pants can go a long way, they’re great for meetings, presentations or just everyday work life. I prefer a navy pair because I find it goes with just about everything in my closet but if you lean toward black then I recommend going that route.
Once you have a good pair of work trousers mix and match any button-down can be a go-to look. Something that can work all year round is a chambray button-down. This can be worn as I did here or with white pants or layered under sweaters and coats. It’s something you can wear truly all year round and by swapping how you style it the impact can be major.
For summer, I like to have a lighter material heel that is still closed-toed. For the office, this looks really professional but still feels on season and summery. I’ve had these for years and reach for them every time Spring and Summer come around.
To tie in the shoes, I went with a summer purse to really accent the rattan texture. I love how these pair together and really bring a summer element to the outfit while still being professional.
Overall, this look is clean, simple, polished and easy to put together in a pinch.
