Pop. Fizz. Clink. Time to pop the bubbly. Jared and I celebrated Valentine’s Day with a little champagne and of course mimosas. Surprisingly I didn’t have any champagne flutes, so off to Target I went to DIY champagne glasses. I got this set of four glasses for only $12 and I got the gold spray paint at Michael’s for $8, but I had a 40% off coupon. For under $20, it’s totally worth it! There’s only two of us, so I took two of the four flutes to add a little extra pizzaz.
You can do this DIY with wine glasses instead of flutes for a party, or make it as a wedding or birthday gift. You can also swap out the gold spray paint for chalkboard paint to help differentiate your guests’ glasses.
So let’s get started!
You will need:
- Champagne Flutes
- Painters Tape
- Gold Spray Paint
Step 1. Clean the glasses
Step 2. Tape off where you want the gold paint
Step 3. Light spray in a continuous motion
Step 4. Wait 10-15 min and begin 2nd coat
Step 5. Peel tape off after about 10 minutes
Step 6. Pop bottles and enjoy!
