As it gets colder you might be scratching your head when it comes to what to wear to work. I work in a creative casual work environment which is somewhere between business casual and just casual. There are days I dress up and days I dress casual pending how many meetings I have. I wanted to share this casual fall work outfit inspiration to hopefully minimize the time spent staring at your closet this fall. This is perfect for a similar work environment to what I have, but this outfit also screams teacher to me.
Casual Fall Work Outfit Inspiration
This is a classic denim skirt that I’ve worn in the warmer months, and if you have one similar you may be ready to put it away with your summer clothes, but not so fast. This skirt can be worn in many different ways in many different seasons.
I paired with a lightweight sweater, but it could easily go with a long cardigan or even tights underneath it.
I absolutely love this lightweight striped sweater with embroidered apples and I love how it looks with this denim skirt. The pattern is naturally very fall and the apples amongst the stripes make the sweater unique and interesting.
I added these heeled booties with this skirt because they are work appropriate while still being cute and trendy. I love a heeled bootie because they can be transitioned in many different ways whether that’s for casual work outfits or jeans on the weekend.
Of course, I have my go-to Barrington St. Anne tote and topped off the look with some tortoise earrings. I love the contrast of the tortoise and stripes. It’s one of my combos I continuously go back to.
I just love this look and think it’s the perfect casual fall work outfit. I will definitely be wearing this skirt with many different lightweight sweaters styled similar to this in the weeks to come.
