Since cutting my hair I have really struggled on how to style it. I’ve tried a curling iron, a wand and even a flat iron. Nothing was working! After watching a million Youtube videos seeking for something to help, I found the Beachwaver. It was my last hope! Keep reading for a full S.75 Beachwaver Review.
The Beachwaver is a self-turning curling iron. I know what you’re thinking, “You’re crazy! That thing is going to suck up my hair!” I was hesitant at first too, but I’m telling you it is a game changer!
Fun fact: I have only been curling my hair for a few years now. I first taught myself how to use a curling iron my senior of college. So I would still consider myself a newbie when it comes to curling my hair.
The hardest part about my new hairstyle is getting the curls up high enough, so I don’t look like a reverse mushroom. And then secondly, curling the pieces different directions, so I don’t look like Shirley Temple.
Beachwaver offers several different barrel sizes depending on your hair length. I opted for the smaller barrel (S.75) due to my recent change of hair lengths.
The Beachwaver S.75 is perfect because it is small enough to get the curls close to the root and it has a button to switch a the direction of the curls! Apart from the self-turning feature it has a small clamp at the end to allow you to leave about 1 inch of your hair out giving it the more “beachy” look instead of the perfect curls.
The Beachwaver also offer several different heat settings depending on your hair’s texture and thickness, as well as a fast and slow option for the speed of the automatic curling. It took my about 5 minutes to figure it out and now I feel like I pro.
Honestly, the Beachwaver is my holy grail, I don’t need to use another curling iron ever product. I have not felt this passionate about a beauty product in a long time.
My Hair Routine
My hair routine is pretty minimal. I wash my hair at night and will put some mousse in my roots to create a little more volume as it air dries. In the morning, I start curling my hair with the Beachwaver S.75. I start on the first layer and then gradually pull pieces you can see. I don’t section it off or curl every piece, because I’ve found for my hair it gets too poufy when I curl every strand.
After I have reached my desired curls, I spray the Kristen Ess Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray on my ends and then take about a dime size amount of the Kristen Ess Depth Defining Water Based Pomade and shake out the curls for a piecier look.
Finally, I top off the look with a little hairspray and I am good to go!
