This Texas weather is so up and down. It literally snowed on Friday and on Wednesday it’s supposed to be in the 70’s. Make up your mind Texas! It kind of makes me crazy trying to figure out how to dress. If you are a Texas girl I’m sure you can relate! On the chilly days, I have a 3 must have winter staples you won’t find me leaving my apartment without.
In winter’s past I have not been one for hats, but this year I am super into it! I think I finally realized how warm they keep your head and how cute they are. I love them for when I am driving to work and then I just pop it off when I go into the office. They are also perfect for throwing on when walking to lunch.
Vests have been a life saver! These are crucial on the days when Texas hasn’t quite realized what season we are in. They give enough warmth but don’t over do it. They are also perfect to throw a coat on over for an extra layer of warmth.
Lastly, the duck boots are EVERYTHING for me! I may or may not have three pair…ok I have three pairs. They are perfect for a winter statement to any outfit and very functional for traction on snow or ice. They keep your toes super warm, especially paired with wool socks. And they come in many different shapes, sizes and colors so it lets your personality show in your outfit, which can be a little more difficult in winter weather.
