Fall is just as a popular time for weddings as spring is. I’ve already been to several weddings this month and know I have a few more coming up. Dressing for weddings in the spring is easy, just throw on a shift dress or maxi and you are set. Fall gets a little trickier.
What To Wear To A Fall Wedding
Navy is always a good color for weddings, you won’t stand out with a bright color and it’s not as boring as black.
This dress from Lilly Pulitzer (I know you’d never guess Lilly since it’s not a bold print!) is the perfect silhouette for fall weddings because of the sleeves and the shape of the dress. The sleeves on this dress are covering yet still showing some with the bare lace while adding a little fun with the bell detail.
This dress is also perfect for layering on a coat or trench pending the weather because of the way it hugs the bodies. It won’t be bulky or awkward under coats.
Since it is still pretty warm in the south, I opted for a simple sandal heel, but with this dress, you could easily add tights or a closed toe heel.
Looking for dresses with these factors, silhouette, sleeves, and color it will make any fall wedding a breeze!
I love pulling my hair back for weddings because it just feels a little more formal. This was just a simple low bun but really elevates the look to a more formal level.
I also can’t resist a statement earring, so these gold earrings from Brynn Hudson are perfect!
Lastly, since we are in between summer and fall I reached for this whimsical fish clutch from Lisi Lerch.
