The cooler weather is finally here and hopefully here to stay (but you can never be too sure in the south, it’ll probably be 80 degrees on Thanksgiving). With temperatures dropping so does my motivation to workout. When it’s cold outside I find it especially hard to put workout clothes on and either go to a dance class or workout from home, but one thing that always helps is cute workout clothes. I wanted to share pieces from the new adidas COLD.RDY collection that are perfect for staying warm while working out this holiday season.
A staple for working out in the winter is layering! Whether I am taking Beau on a walk or going to a dance class layering is key. I like to start with the COLD.RDY mock-neck long sleeve training tee and the ALPHASKIN COLD.RDY long tights as a good base. The COLD.RDY mock-neck long sleeve training tee has insulating COLD.RDY to keep you feeling warm and confident when it’s cold outside. It’s also soft and stretchy for easy movement. This is a definite must-have for cold walks with Beau but I also like to layer a longer sports bra under it to take off in my dance classes after the warm is over. ALPHASKIN COLD.RDY long tights are perfect for winter these tights are insulated to keep you feeling warm from the moment you step outside. The fabric helps you stay dry so you’re comfortable when the workout’s done. They have a compression fit that hugs your muscles to keep you feeling supported.
For layering, I love the adidas essentials down jacket. I have actually been wearing this jacket non-stop since getting it in the mail. I wore it on a brisk walk with Beau and have been wearing it to and from my workout classes. I love that it’s lightweight but still keeps you warm. The down filling seals in the heat. And I totally feel like Sporty Spice with the classic 3-Stripes details. It’s also made of recycled materials.
Ok you won’t catch me running in the snow or sleet or frankly, running at all, but with the adidas ULTRABOOST WINTER.RDY shoes I totally could. These adidas running shoes are made for inclement weather. The knit upper allows for airflow while the water-repellent finish sheds the rain. A metallic finish on the 3-Stripes adds some bling to your nonstop high energy. I really like how the top part of the shoe has a sock-like grip texture so I don’t have to worry about them moving around too much. I also feel very supported in my ankles when wearing them. These are a great sneaker to have this winter even if you aren’t a runner.
This whole look will be on repeat this winter. I love the colors in the adidas COLD.RDY collection. I feel like so often in the winter I reach for black on black workout clothes but there’s just something about color that lifts your mood in the cold.
