Now that I’m married I feel like my nighttime routine has significantly changed. I have to be mindful of someone else’s schedule and how Jared likes to get ready for bed. Luckily, we are both night people so we have a similar late night routine.
So my nighttime routine normally starts off with a shower or a bath around 10 PM. I shower every night before bed to rinse off all the gunk from the day. I wash my hair every other day and let it air dry throughout the night. When I don’t wash my hair I just throw it in a loose top knot and undo it the next morning for beach loose curls. This is a tip I learned from DryBar and has seriously changed my life.
If I wash my hair then I typically piddle around and wait for it to dry off a little in the towel. Once I take it down, I don’t brush it I just sleep with it tangled, probably not the best advice but it works for me!
My face routine is normally pretty low key because I take my make up off and wash my face in the shower. To make sure all my make up is gone I rub micellar water on a cotton round all over my face once I get out. I then spritz my face generously with rose water, from there I brush my teeth and head to bed.
Now that’s it’s the summer I have been trying to sleep in cooler pjs. I love these seersucker pajamas shorts because they are lightweight and breathable and the monogram is a nice touch. I typically wear a cotton shirt to complete the “look”.
Once in bed, I catch up on videos from some of my favorite Youtubers and check all my social media and hit the sack around 11-11:30 PM.
