One of my favorite ways to wear a necktie is to tie it like a choker around my neck, however, I decided to switch it up for this look, so I wanted to share how to wear a necktie scarf in a new way.
How To Wear A Necktie Scarf
While in Los Angeles we spent a couple hours hiking to see a gorgeous view of the ocean (more to come on this). After the hike we knew we were heading to dinner, so we packed a change of clothes in a backpack and off we went.
The view and the hike were great, we popped in the bathroom to change and much to my dismay my sweater was a wrinkled mess. Luckily I planned to wear this necktie like I normally do but with all the wrinkles I had to think quick.

I folded the necktie in half diagonally and tied the two ends in a knot at the back of my neck to create this triangle shape. This covered a good chunk of the wrinkles and looked chic while doing it.
This was a definitely a happy accident I’ll be repeating. I really like styling the scarf this way because it shows off the pattern of the scarf more than the typical way I fold it.
I went with my favorite pair of dark skinny jeans from Madewell and accented the light pink of the floral pattern in the scarf with a soft pink suede block heel from Ann Taylor Factory.
