Galentine’s Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the bond of female friendship, and what better way to do that than with a fun and festive party? Whether you’re throwing a party at home or at a restaurant, there are a few key things to keep in mind to make your Galentine’s Day celebration a success.
This Galentine’s I co-hosted a lunch, with my girlfriend Alex, for some of our blogger girls in Houston! Let’s break down the party for some tips on how to throw a Galentine’s Day party!
How To Throw a Galentine’s Day Party
First and foremost, it’s important to get your invitations out in a timely manner. While you can certainly go the traditional route and send out paper invitations, a virtual invitation can be a great way to save time and money while still ensuring that your guests feel like they are receiving a formal invitation. Paperless Post is my favorite choice for virtual invitations, as it allows you to create beautiful, customizable invitations that can be sent directly to your guests’ email inboxes or phone via text. You can also easily track RSVPs and keep all of your guests’ information in one place, making it easier to keep track of who is coming and who needs a gentle reminder to RSVP.
If you’re not interested in hosting the party at your own home, consider picking a fun restaurant with a cute aesthetic. This can be a great way to ensure that everyone is able to relax and enjoy the party without having to worry about cleaning up after. Plus, you can often take advantage of the restaurant’s ambiance and decor to enhance your Galentine’s Day theme.
For our Galentine’s Day party, we hosted it at Lulu’s because nothing says Galentine’s like pasta! We also knew it would be tricky for everyone to meet on the weekend or in the evening so we decided to host a lunch where the girls could slip away from their desks and enjoy a fun get-together. This also made it more affordable and less busy at the restaurant!
Whether you opt for a cozy Italian spot with a chic aesthetic or a modern bistro, the right venue can really set the tone for a memorable celebration.
When it comes to decorating for your Galentine’s Day party, you can’t go wrong with a palette of pink and red. From the dress code to balloons to centerpieces and table settings, there are plenty of ways to incorporate these festive hues into your celebration. I snagged these two heart balloon bundles from Party City on my way to the lunch for about $15 each! Then I think the biggest impact was the satin fabric I used as a table runner and to tie bows on the chairs. This was such a wow factor and the pack was under $20 on Amazon!
I also snagged these disco balls at Five Below for $5 each and these totally added some glam to the table for a really affordable price point. Plus I can use these for so many different parties and occasions!
Of course, no party is complete without some fun and festive favors to take home. We went all out and partnered with some of our favorite brands to spoil the girls with gifts. But if you wanted to do something simple these monogram jute totes are under $20 each and really add that wow factor, they also double as place cards.
In conclusion, Galentine’s Day is a special occasion that allows women to come together and celebrate their friendship. Whether you decide to host a party at home or at a restaurant, it’s important to choose the right venue and decor to set the tone for the celebration. From virtual invitations to thoughtful favors, there are many ways to make your Galentine’s Day party a success. So gather your closest gal pals, have some fun, and celebrate the power of female friendship!
