If you’re like me, you probably can’t get away from the Fabletics brand. Their TV commercials are on every streaming platform, you get served numerous ads on Instagram both from the brand and also influencers, and friends in your everyday life talk about it… but does it live up to the hype? I recently purchased several items from Fabletics when they were having a massive sale and I thought now would be a good time to do a full non-biased Fabletics review.
I don’t know why but I always thought Fabletics was some type of hoax or scam, probably because it seems too good to be true or the fact that it’s a subscription model company. But I was laying in bed late one night and couldn’t sleep, so I was mindlessly scrolling TikTok when I came across this girl talking about a Fabletics sale. She said she got hundreds of dollars of product for less than a hundred dollars, so I was like, “ok, I’ll just look”. As I was just “looking” I was adding everything to my cart and $800+ later I was done. However, because of the major sale, they were having my total was only $140. Yes, $140 for $800+ worth of product…definitely seemed too good to be true.
Fabletics Review
How It Works
If you aren’t familiar Fabletics is an athletic brand co-owned by Kate Hudson. Fabletics is a subscription model company, so each month “VIP members” pay $49.95 and receive exclusive discounts. They have great deals with the most popular one being 2 pairs of leggings for $24.
When you sign up you take a short quiz to share about your lifestyle and workout preferences and then your outfit options are tailored to you.
As a VIP member, you have the option to skip a month between the first and the fifth of each month. This is a great option if you don’t need or don’t want new items each month. I actually found their system to be helpful and reminded you several times before they charge you on the sixth. If you do forget to cancel or choose to pay that month, your credits don’t expire so you can use them whenever you want.
The Product
As I mentioned, I placed a large order since everything was so cheap. Here’s everything I ordered:
Alia Tied Tank
Vivienne Cross-Back Tee (2)
Delta Seamless Tank II
Kessler Built-In Bra Tank
Monet V-Back Tie Tank
Olesia Short
Trinity High-Waisted Pocket Legging
Trinity Mid-Rise Pocket 7/8 (2)
Mila High-Waisted Pocket Legging
Maddie Seamless Sports Bra
Ella High Impact Sports Bra
Sync Seamless Midi Bra (2)
Wren SculptKnit Sports Bra
In total, I bought 5 tops, 5 sports bras, 4 leggings and a pair of shorts.
Tops
Overall, I really like all of the tops. Given everything was so cheap some of the styles I wouldn’t necessarily pay full price for, but I like them. And I wouldn’t pay full price just because I don’t love the style, I actually was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
I was most excited about the tops just because I feel like it’s something that I needed the most. My favorite top was the Delta Seamless Tank II and I’m considering getting a few more in additional colors.
Sports Bras
These bras are all SO cute! Seriously I LOVE them! I am very flat-chested, so I bought all low impact sports bras which work for me, but they do have higher impact bras if you are more well-endowed.
I feel like sports bras say a lot about an athletic brand and these are all amazing! If you like high neck sports bras like I do, then I would recommend taking a look at Fabletics.
Bottoms
I have more than enough black leggings from leggings showdown so I wanted to go for some fun colors. Since it was 11:30 PM when I shopping I didn’t realize I purchased 3 of almost the exact same colors, but hey it was so cheap so I don’t really mind!
I was skeptical, but once I tried them on I was really impressed. They are thick but easy to move in, high waisted and I love the pocket detail.
I was most excited about the shorts, but they just didn’t work for me. Unfortunately, I followed the sizing guide and I ordered an XS across the board. I was super hesitant but since I was unsure I followed what they recommended. I am a true 4 and I definitely should have sized up on the bottoms to a small. The leggings are a little more forgiving because they are stretchy but these shorts are where the sizing hits hard. They are a HARD PASS for me.
Final Thoughts
I held out trying Fabletics for such a long time because it just felt like a hoax to me. I will say shipping was VERY slow, but I feel like that was primarily due to COVID-19, so I can’t fairly judge them on that.
I have skipped the monthly payments since joining because I was waiting on my order to arrive and I will likely continue to skip because I just don’t need new athletic clothes monthly, but I like the option to shop with a discount.
One important note I wanted to call out is I have noticed sizes go very quickly for the popular products and colors. I am curious to see if this is a consistent or just for the last two months since joining.
Overall, I am very impressed with my items from Fabletics. As I mentioned, I plan on keeping my VIP account and picking and choosing when it makes sense for me to purchase monthly, but I do like that it’s an option.
If you are looking to try it I say do it and get those 2 pairs of leggings for $24 and then just skip each month if you feel like it.

Fabletics also has some store locations in select cities and I used to shop at the Charlotte one before I moved away! I always liked the items I found there. I’ve been hesitant to sign up for the membership because I’m worried I”ll forget to cancel, but maybe I should!

Completely agree here!! I was really worried to try, but their leggings are so great! I don’t need anything monthly either, but I’m happy to have some solid pieces in my wardrobe!
Love the styles you chose, especially the white polka dot sports bra!

I really enjoyed reading your review. I also thought it was a scam and didn’t really like the subscription feature. I may have to check it out though. Thanks for sharing.
