I have had my eye on Birdies since about 2017 when they popped up in the marketplace. They initially branded themselves as an indoor slipper company and since then have transitioned into a shoe company with an emphasis on slipper-like comfort. They quickly gained popularity and I began to see them everywhere and constantly get retargeted for Facebook and Instagram ads. Now that I am back in the office wanted to get a comfy pair of leopard workshoes…because leopard is a neutral. I decided to pull the trigger on Birdies and have now purchased my second pair so I thought it would helpful to share a comprehensive Birdies slides review in case you are hesitant like I was.
Comprehensive Birdies Slides Review
I really debated on what style of Birdies I wanted to start with. They have four main categories: Flats, Slides, Sandals, Sneakers. The flats are the original and I would assume most popular. I am crazy about not getting blisters so I opted for the slides because I thought they would be easier to break in and have less potential for blisters, but much to my surprise the break-in period was non-existent. From the moment I put the Birdies Slides on they were so comfortable. I wore them multiple days in a row for 8+ hours and experienced ZERO discomfort.
“Get the support of a sneaker, the softness of a slipper, and the style of a designer flat with our exclusive comfort technology. All Birdies feature soft quilted satin, dual-layer high-density memory foam, shock absorption, and arch & heel support.”
I am still shocked every time I put my Birdies on how stinking comfortable they are. Because of this, I am constantly reaching for them.
They very run true to size and are of very good quality. One of my biggest pet peeves with loafers and slides is when you get that crease at the top of the shoes from walking. I don’t know how they did it but both pairs of my Birdies slides have not experienced that I wear them at least two times a week to work.
They do have a good amount of arch support so they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and would be great for people who stand a lot for work.
After I purchased my first leopard pair I knew I wanted a pair for summer. I decided to go with the Pheobe in the white woven texture (which are now no longer available). I thought out of all the pairs these would be the most unfordable but they aren’t at all!
As I mentioned, the price is steep but I can honestly say they are worth every penny. I purchased both pairs of Birdies Slides with my own money (NOT Sponsored) and I am already thinking about which pair to buy next. I have my eye on the Heron in navy suede or fern which is would be great for fall.
I think slides are really easy to style because they go with everything but here are a few ways I styled the Birdies Slides.
