When it comes to Spring and Summer outfits, it’s all about the accessories for me. Especially in the Southern summer heat, I like to keep the clothes simple and breezy and really let the outfit pop with accessories. Here are 5 accessories you need this summer!
5 Accessories You Need This Summer
1. Gold Beaded Bracelets
These bracelets are EVERYWHERE! They are simple and easy to throw on. I like to layer 2-3 with my watch for an everyday look or wear a bunch for a dressier look like I did here.
There are a bunhc of options at all different price points, but here are the two sets I own. This is also something that will last forever and can even be worn in or around the pool with no worries.
2. Headbands
Headbands have been a trend for several seasons now but we are seeing them more and more lately. Personally, I’ve never been one to wear my hair up but in this Houston humidity, I don’t really have a choice. I’ve been loving wearing headbands with a slick back bun to really elevate the look.
I would recommend starting with the basics to dip your toe in the water and then move into some fun pops of color!

3. Statement Earrings
Statement earrings are an EASY way to add a pop to any outfit. In the past, we’ve seen big chunky and whimsical statement earrings. This summer we are seeing more neutral geometric statement earrings. I love this style because you can really get away with purchasing 1-2 pairs and wearing them all summer.
4. Wicker Bags
Another summer staple, but if you don’t have a wicker bag by now consider this your sign to get one! They go with everything and really pull together any summer look. From big to small, you can’t go wrong!
5. Simple Slide Sandals
This is the BIGGEST trend I am seeing right now, simple two-strap slide sandals. Whether they have a heel or flat these style of sandals are everywhere. We are also seeing the more neutral colors be really popular.
This is also something that goes with almost every outfit. I have two or three pairs and love to use them to dress up straight-leg jeans and a t-shirt or wear them with any summer flowy dress.
I personally like to buy more affordable trendy clothes and invest in accessories I know will last me. All 5 of these accessory types will be “in style” for years to come!
