Spring is just around the corner and we’re getting a taste of it already here Houston! This time of year is always so tricky to dress for though because it’s 35 degrees in the morning but 75 in the afternoon. The key is finding outfits that can easily transition from chilly weather to warm weather, so here are 3 easy transitional outfits for spring.
3 Easy Transitional Outfits for Spring
This looks just screams Spring because of the neon pink. It’s definitely making me feel excited for warmer days but because of the layering, it’s perfect for transitioning. It’s also a great look for any office with smart casual dress codes.
The cardigan/jacket gives warmth in the mornings and if it gets too hot in the afternoons you can take it off with still a very cute blouse underneath it. I think the details of the blouse totally make this outfit and if you remove the jacket it doesn’t look like you are missing anything.
I went with simple gold mules but you could easily swap the shoes for a heel or even a neutral bootie.
I shared more about this look in this blog post, but this look is perfect for Spring. For warmer days you can opt for a simple blouse or tee underneath the blazer or on colder days a lightweight sweater is a good option!
Lastly, a trench coat is a staple for me in the transitional seasons. It makes me feel so chic and put together but is also versatile and functional. I don’t see a lot of people wearing trenches but it can totally elevate any look.
This business casual look is complete with a simple short sleeve sweater under the trench, a pair of dark jeans, and my favorite cheetah heels. I love how the prints of the polka dot sweater and the cheetah heels work together. You could also swap out this sweater for a light pink one and have a slightly different look but just as chic, this outfit can be copied and pasted to fit a lot of things in your wardrobe.
As you can tell this time of year, it’s all about the layers! Get creative with your layers and try something new!
