It’s no surprise by now but one of my favorite places to shop is Walmart and Walmart.com. I am obsessed with their Free Assembly collection and so since things are starting to cool down in Texas I picked up a few staples to add to my wardrobe. It seems like every year when I pull out my winter clothes and sweaters I hate them all and want a refresh. These pieces are perfect for mixing and matching but here’s an example of 2 winter outfits from Walmart.
2 Winter Outfits from Walmart
This adorable green dress makes the perfect holiday or winter look. I love the fit because it’s so flattering on pear-shaped ladies with the tie waist and ruffle at the hem. It does have pockets which normally bothers me but these lay flat so I don’t have to worry about them adding unwanted bulkiness to my midsection. It does run true to size as I ordered a medium and I am normally a true medium.
It’s still pretty warm here in the south so I can get away with bare legs, but this dress would also look super chic with a pair of black tights. To contrast the subtle stripe I opted for leopard print heels which I love to add a little unexpected spice to the outfit. It would also look adorable with simple feels, flats or even white sneakers if you wanted to dress it down.
Since the shoes add contrast I kept the purse simple but still added texture with the bamboo bag.
This dress would be perfect for work date night, church, and more.
The second outfit is a look is a perfect winter and the fact that this coat is under $50 is a total steal! This navy quilted coat is something that will be a staple in my closet for years to come. It has a tie waist that is removable or can be tied in the back as I did.
I’ve been on a major silk scarf kick lately so this $5 scarf from Walmart really takes this neutral outfit to the next level. Then to keep the rest of the outfit simple I went with a basic cream sweater and my favorite pair of button-front jeans and simple flats which could be swapped for boots if it’s colder.
These two outfits will have you feeling like a million bucks and looking so cute this winter at an affordable price point!
