On Saturday night, Jared and I attended the 2016 St. Jude’s Bennett’s Bash. The evening was moving and inspiring. I’d be lying if I I told you I didn’t tear up, however the whole night was filled with joy and celebration.
I am avid Real Housewives watcher and I always imagine charity events to end in a cat fight that has nothing to do with the charity. Well thankfully that is not real life, there was no drama and everyone was there to truly support the good work and good people of St. Jude.
The big event of the evening was the Kendra Scott pull. If you don’t know what a jewelry pull is it’s where you pay a set amount and pick a box at random for a surprise piece of jewelry. Of course, every piece of Kendra Scott jewelry is wonderful so it’s a win win situation. All the proceeds from the pull went straight to St. Jude.
Along with the Kendra Scott pull there were amazing silent auction items, wonderful speakers, a photo booth and drinks sponsored my Titos Handmade Vodka.
I had the joy of sitting with the ladies from the Kendra Scott Plano Store and the Kendra Scott Southlake Store. The ladies were so kind and it was so lovely to see a company like Kendra Scott give back.
We heard from speakers like Bennett’s Parents Megan and Ben Coleman, Jenny Landstreet (mom of current St. Jude patient) and Jeff Pearson, CFO of St. Jude. Jeff shared the most touching story of the night about a former St. Jude patient who was drafted into the NFL last week. Read the full story here. After hearing from everyone it gave me a true understanding of the organization and the amazing work they are doing for patients, families and the medical industry.
In total, $147,458 was raised for St. Jude at Bennett’s Bash. Help them reach $150,000 by donating here! Every little bit helps!
Thank you St. Jude and Bennett’s Bash for allowing Jared and I to be a part of this wonderful event!
Wow those are some great pictures from the event! Who took them?
Thank you so much, Jared. My fiancé (Jared) and I took them.
