One of my goals for 2018 is to show Jared I love him in HIS love language. This is definitely going to need to be intentional, I’m really good at showing him I love him in my love language, but when we are speaking different love languages both of our love tanks can be pretty empty. (Read more about love languages here)
Something you may or may not know about me is that I grew up a pastor’s kid. My dad was in the ministry throughout my whole life. He recently has made a leap of faith and followed God’s calling for him to start his own ministry called National Prayer Room.
National Prayer Room is helping Christians grow in their faith through encouraging and equipping teaching on prayer through the internet. National Prayer Room is currently serving over 45,000 people from 129 different countries! Wow!
“The greatest missional field is the internet.” – Billy Taylor
National Prayer Room offers several different daily devotionals to help you grow in your prayer life. I can’t think of a better time to dive into a new devotional than now. Praying for Him is the perfect way to help me kick off my new year. It’s written from a man’s perspective to really help you get in the mind of your husband to really help you understand what he needs prayer for.
Throughout this journey, I’m looking forward to gaining a new insight on how to better pray for my husband, claim scripture promises to encourage him to be the man God has called him to be, and develop a habit of praying for my husband.
Unlike other devotionals where you have to check an app or lug around a book, each morning you’ll receive an email with scripture, a brief devotional and a sample prayer. Easy peasy!
I would love for you to join me in this 42-day prayer adventure and open up the conversation on your journey.
