Even though I didn’t get to attend New York Fashion Week this season, maybe one day, I was following along on my couch. NYFW wrapped up last Thursday and London Fashion Week is in full swing this week!
It can be pretty difficult sometimes to see the trends through the runways looks and know how to style them off the runway. Below, I have rounded up my favorite trends from NYFW for the Spring/Summer 2017. These trends are the ones I think will be the easiest transition into my personal style. I’d love to wear clothes like Karlie Kloss every day, but come on that’s just not real life. Click the images to shop the look/designer.
PINK
J.Crew killed it with their pink collection in August this year and they are still just as obessed with pink…and so am I! Color is no surprise for spring, but I will definitely be rocking the monochromatic pink look come 2017.
Menswear
Male inspired pieces are not a new trend, but these looks are in full effect for NYFW Spring/Summer 2017. Ditch your boring old “power” and spice it up with a bold print or mix something girly with something male inspired for an unexpected look.
Long Bold Skirt
Bold skirts were all the rage this year. We saw designers like Banana Republic, Tory Burch and J.Crew embracing a bold skirt. Whether it’s asymmetrical, long and flowy or a bright pattern. These are going to be the next big thing next Spring. This such an easy look to style, pair it with a simple top and you will make an entrance. Say goodbye to your maxi skirts for a new reinvented look.
Ruffles
Ruffles were all over the runway. My person favorite is the ruffles featured in the Kate Spade collection. These are probably the easiest to wear and lest intimidating. I also love the ruffles from the Delpozo collection. This is a more avant garde look, but the lines are so clean and simple, although I probably won’t being wearing this look on an everyday basis I can definitely appreciate the beauty.
Statement Earrings
I LOVE a good statement earring! This is a trend I will be incorporating to my current wardrobe. A few seasons back it was all about the statement necklace and now the trend has moved up to the ears. This trend is so simple and you can find amazing statement earrings in many retailer like Baublebar and Kendra Scott.
