On Saturday I went to the Dallas Apparel and Accessories Market to check out new brands, see upcoming lines, and figure out the fall fashion trends. (In case you were wondering puffer vests are still in… PTL!) I got to learn about some awesome new brands like Southern Belle Collection and Katherine Way, as well as meet with some old favorites like Lane Boots, Daniel Wellington and Lauren James Co.
I always had this image of what Market would be like and it was pretty much like I imagined. There are tons of vendors and lots of different brands. I basically knew who I wanted to meet with but I kept thinking to myself “How does anyone even know where to start when it comes to buying clothes/accessories for a boutique?” Props to you if you can be a buyer at Market!
So if you don’t what Market is, it’s basically a giant building with tons of wholesale vendors featuring their next season’s lines. The people that attend Market are buyers for online store, boutiques or people like bloggers who want the inside scoop on the upcoming season.

It’s like going into the Vogue closet! Do you have to have a wholesaler’s license or something like that to attend market?
Isn’t it so fun! I had a great time talking to new companies and browsing new clothes. Yes, you have to have a wholesaler’s license, be a buyer for a boutique or have a press pass to get in.
